to invest directly in rooftop
solar power plants.

Why Invest in Solar

Solar investments have been earning private investors great returns for years. Now it’s your turn.

Do Well

Solar investments provide safe and predictable returns, far away from the Wall Street roller coaster.

And Do Good

Your investment will create local jobs, reduce pollution and support the transition to a clean energy economy.

Our Track Record

Solar Mosaic has raised more than $350,000 from over 400 investors to create five rooftop solar power plants.

The Solar Projects

Over 400 people invested more than $350,000 to finance five solar power plants through our zero-interest investment model. This summer, for the first time, we will be able to offer a return on our solar investments.

The Asian Resource Center

Oakland, CA

For over 10 years the Asian Resource Center (ARC) had tried to go solar. Now, thanks to Mosaic, they are proud hosts to the first community-funded solar project in Oakland. Together, the organizations in the ARC address a range of social issues in the areas of affordable housing, health care, youth programs, environmental justice, and more. The project is expected to save the ARC more than $100,000.

People’s Grocery

Oakland, CA

People’s Grocery is a food-justice organization in West Oakland dedicated to providing the community access to fresh and nutritious food. They run a garden enterprise program at a low-income housing development, hold regular cooking classes and provide a subsidized weekly “Grub Box” to families facing financial challenges. The project is expected to save People’s Grocery more than $30,000.

The Murdoch Community Center

Flagstaff, AZ

A cornerstone of Flagstaff’s oldest neighborhood, The Murdoch Community Center has a long history of serving its community. Originally an all-black school in the 1920s, the Center is now home to a pre-school, computer classes as well as frequent community events and meetings. The project is expected to save the Murdoch Community Center more than $70,000.

St. Vincent de Paul

Oakland, CA

St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County serves more than 150,000 people annually, regardless of race, creed or origin. They provide hot daily meals to the hungry, drop-in resource centers for the homeless, a health clinic and a computer lab. Additionally, they offer job training through their culinary academy, four thrift stores, auto donation program and electronic waste collection business. The project is expected to save St. Vincent de Paul more than $70,000.

Shonto Begay’s Home

Navajo Nation, AZ

Shonto is a brilliant painter, compelling storyteller, and leading spokesman for environmental and human rights. His home was one of the 18,000 Navajo homes without electricity until Mosaic’s community came together to power his house with solar. Now Shonto no longer has to paint by the light of an expensive and polluting kerosene generator. The project is expected to save Shonto Begay more than $15,000.
